Composite bonding in Poole
A natural-looking solution for repairing, reshaping and enhancing your smile – all in a single visit.
Looking for expert composite bonding in Poole? At our practice on Culliford Crescent (BH17), we offer a fast, pain-free cosmetic treatment that transforms your smile in just one appointment.
Composite bonding uses tooth-coloured resin to repair and refine the appearance of your teeth – whether you want to fix chips, close small gaps, or reshape edges.
At Dental Poole, we customise every treatment to match your smile perfectly – preserving your natural enamel and delivering seamless, confident results.
What can composite bonding help with?
A versatile solution for a range of cosmetic concerns – right here in Poole.
Patients in the BH17 area often choose bonding to address issues such as:
1. Chipped or cracked teeth
2. Gaps between front teeth (diastema)
3. Uneven or worn-down edges
4. Discolouration or localised staining
5. Short or slightly misshapen teeth
6. General asymmetry in the smile line
This is a perfect choice if you’re based in Poole, Canford Heath or Creekmoor and want an effective alternative to veneers – with no drilling or injections required.
What does the procedure involve?
Gentle, precise, and usually completed in just one appointment at our Culliford Crescent clinic.
1. Consultation & Planning – We’ll discuss your goals and select the perfect shade of resin to blend seamlessly with your teeth.
2. Preparation – The surface of your tooth is gently roughened and treated with a conditioning gel to help the material bond.
3. Application – The composite resin is applied, shaped and artistically sculpted to the desired form.
4. Curing – A special light hardens the resin in seconds.
6. Polishing – Your new smile is finely polished for a natural, glossy finish.
Most treatments take around 30–60 minutes per tooth.

✔️ No drilling or anaesthetic needed
✔️ Preserves your natural tooth structure
✔️ Immediate results in one visit
✔️ Affordable compared to veneers or crowns
✔️ Highly aesthetic, natural-looking finish

How long does bonding last?
Durability meets easy maintenance – ideal for everyday life.
Composite bonding can last 3–7 years or longer with proper care. It may need occasional polishing or small touch-ups, especially if you regularly consume staining foods or grind your teeth.
We recommend:
✔️ Brushing twice daily and flossing
✔️ Avoiding biting fingernails or pens
✔️ Reducing coffee, red wine, and smoking
✔️ Regular dental check-ups every 6 months
✔️ Attend regular check-ups at our Dental Poole practice
Our team will guide you on how to keep your bonded teeth looking their best.
Is it right for me?
An excellent choice for many – but not everyone.
Bonding is perfect for healthy teeth needing cosmetic enhancement. It’s not suitable for:
– Severely decayed or structurally weak teeth
– People with heavy teeth grinding (bruxism)
– Patients looking for major color change (veneers may be better)
During your consultation at our Culliford Crescent clinic, we’ll always recommend the most appropriate solution for your goals and dental health.
NHS Dental Charges (Effective from April 2024)
While composite bonding is a private cosmetic treatment and not available through the NHS, we believe it’s important to be open about all treatment options – including how NHS dental charges work for general care.
If you’re visiting us for a full dental health check or considering additional restorative work alongside your bonding treatment, some services may be provided under NHS funding if you’re eligible.
Here’s what to keep in mind:
-
NHS dental care is structured into three bands, depending on the type of treatment required
-
If your treatment qualifies for NHS support, you’ll only pay one set fee per course of treatment, regardless of the number of visits
-
Our team will always explain what’s included, so there are no hidden surprises
-
If you are exempt from NHS charges, we will guide you through that process
Although cosmetic procedures like composite bonding are not covered, our practice offers flexible payment plans to make private treatment more accessible.
Band 1
£27.40This covers an examination, diagnosis (eg X-rays), advice on how to prevent future
problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant.
If you require urgent care, even if your urgent treatment needs more than one appointment to complete, you will only need to pay one Band 1 charge.
Band 2
£75.30This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.
Band 3
£326.70This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.
Although composite bonding is a private cosmetic treatment, some of our patients in Poole BH17 and surrounding areas may also be entitled to free or discounted NHS dental care for other dental needs.
If you think you may qualify for help with NHS treatment costs – for example, check-ups, fillings or extractions – you might be eligible for full or partial support based on your circumstances.
You could get help if you are:
-
Under 18 or aged 18 and in full-time education
-
Pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months
-
Receiving certain benefits or low-income support
🧾 Where to check eligibility:
