NHS Dental Charges (Effective from April 2024)
If you’re joining us as an NHS patient, it’s important to understand how dental charges work.
All NHS dental treatment falls into one of three charge bands — depending on the type of care you receive. These charges are set nationally and ensure you receive essential treatment to maintain the health of your teeth and gums.
✅ Good to know:
-
You’ll only pay once per course of treatment — even if it takes multiple visits
-
Your dentist will explain the band and cost before starting any treatment
-
Exemptions apply to children, pregnant patients, and those receiving qualifying benefits
You can always speak to our reception team if you’d like help understanding the charges or what your care includes.
